Custom Watch: Updating the Case
I transplanted the original PLT-004 to a 36mm titanium case from Tandorio. The new case has fewer curves than the previous one, and I like how the bezel integrates a chapter ring, allowing for a larger crystal and improving the viewing angle. I will use the Lucius Atelier titanium case for another project, where the style matches better.
The titanium is light and wears well. Overall, the case is 2 mm thicker than the previous one. Unfortunately, the case is incompatible with standard SKX casebacks, limiting the options to find a slim one.
The water resistance of the new case is suspect: The case back claims 200 meters of water resistance, but I highly doubt it. The crown only has one gasket.
